$12 a day

Why $12? I have a payment of $321 each fortnight. I have to put aside half of this as I pay my bills every month. My monthly bills are my cable, my phone, my gas, my electricity, my water and my bank fees. So I am left with $211 exactly.Thats $105.50 a week for me and my cat.

My fares are $7.50 a week which allows me to spend the remaining $98 on luxuries like medicine and food.

This is how I do it

P.S. If you want to point out an error in my arithmetic, yes, there’s another $2 floating about there . I put it in a jar for a rainy day. If the weather continues as it has for the last decade, it will be a fair wait for a rainy day and I may even have some real money. Or I will have $100 for xmas.

Can you spare a dime for an old dame?
