I did the upgrade last night too. It went pretty well I thought. Like you I'm still getting used to the new admin interface. DId you find the user password changer? If you look all the way to the right on the new admin page you'll see users in tiny letters along with settings and plugins. Click users and then click the username you wish to change the password for. Scroll way down to the bottom of the screen and there it is ... viola.
