A report came out last night that the grocery prices have already gone up 20% this year. I would have said more … but who am I to question an official report?

Apparently it’s blamed on lack of competition. I’m pleased that’s finally out in the open, I am a little cynical of seeing a can of tomatoes from Brazil treble in price and being told it’s due to  the drought.

I find the only way to shop for groceries is to take a list. I write down carefully what I need before I set foot out the door and stick to the list. Plus, the best tip I can ever give is to eat before you go.. never shop when hungry!
