Plus, over 1000 calls were logged at OOO with morons asking when the wind was going to stop and "was rain expected?". Sigh. So 8 hours later! They could come at 3.30 am, no-one knows. Still we didn't lose power. I went down the street for something and a huge tree was uprooted, like the one in your photo, in Fairfield. The road was closed and the power to all the shops was out. Apparently the SES has had 1200 calls. One of the worst effected areas for wind problems was my suburb, Northcote.
