There’s no foil like an old foil

I have to do something about my sedentary habits. I could always give up my computer of course and spend the hours normally hunched over my keyboard in vigorous activity at the gym but, to tell you the truth, I’d rather leap off a tall building onto a railroad track.

A daily walk around the back paddock and the occasional episode of sweeping the kitchen floor is my exercise regime, although I have been known to randomly wave a feather duster along the furniture at odd times, like Christmas.

So when I came across this photo I was happy to realise I don’t have to take up the concept of ‘fitness’ straight away. I can wait a few years yet. And then - en garde!

P.S. The duelling duo in the photo are pensioners at the Corpus Christi care home for retired clergy in my town.

Can you spare a dime for an old dame?

  1. Why would anyone want to give up the computer - lol.

  2. I saw this on Grahm Norton. It looks like the home should just buy them a Wii Fit. It would be just as much exercise and a lot less dangerous for those Grannies in walkers. Yikes!!!!
