You will be thrilled to know that Lizzy Two, Mrs Battenburg, is still out and about and having a jolly old time.
Not one to be outshone by the rollicking antics of her grandsons with their games of dress-ups and soldiers, our erstwhile monarch has been polishing her dance steps and wowing guests at Windsor Castle.
At a recent brunch of a few hundred guests she cavorted to an enthusiastic audience of relatives and hangers-on.
“The meal was had, the speeches were made and then the disco commenced,” said one guest who wished to remain nameless. ” She loves to get down on the dancefloor.”
And what does Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of Grenada, Chieftain of the Braemar Gathering, Lord of Mann, Duke of Normandy, Paramount Chief of the Fijian Islands, Reine du Royaume-Uni, du Canada, Queen of Australia and New Zealand like to dance to?
Her favourite number is Abba’s Dancing Queen. No joke.
Can you spare a dime for an old dame?
