Another Holy Apparition

BVM rides again

Holy Mary is back, this time in a tree stump in Ireland!

The (literally) unbelievable appearance of the BVM in the recently pruned-back stump of a tree has delighted local shopkeepers and Bed and Breakfast proprietors in Rathkeale, Co Limerick.

Locals from the town organised a petition in an effort to have the tree stump, which was due to be dug out of the ground by the end of July, made into a permanent fixture at the Holy Mary Parish Church.

“We have almost 2,000 signatures on the petition already and we are going to continue getting more,” local shopkeeper Seamus Hogan said.

Hogan said the discovery was bringing people from all walks of life to Rathkeale to pray. “It’s doing no harm and it’s bringing people together.”

It’s obviously not doing any harm to local business.

You can see for yourself the uncanny resemblance. Will wonders never cease?
