A report came out last night that the grocery prices have already gone up 20% this year. I would have said more … but who am I to question an official report?
Apparently it’s blamed on lack of competition. I’m pleased that’s finally out in the open, I am a little cynical of seeing a can of tomatoes from Brazil treble in price and being told it’s due to the drought.
I find the only way to shop for groceries is to take a list. I write down carefully what I need before I set foot out the door and stick to the list. Plus, the best tip I can ever give is to eat before you go.. never shop when hungry!

While still on the subject of water ..
Why does the phone always ring the minute I climb in the tub? This morning I was all set for a little soak when some pest selling brick cladding was on the blower. It’s as though there is some etheric connection between the two. A vibration that resounds in the ionsphere when the bath salts are added to the tub. But think of this ;-
The bathtub was invented in 1850.
The telephone was invented in 1875.
This might not seem like much but, if you had lived back then, you could have sat in the bathtub for 25 years without being bothered by the phone.

I think it’s time we started taking notice of plastic bottles
The consumption of bottled water has grown in the past 15 years from less than a million bottles a year to more than a billion per annum.
It is estimated that about one-fifth of these bottles are thrown away with the top screwed tightly down and an average of one ounce of water remaining inside.
Given that these plastic bottles are airtight, nonbiodegradable containers, this means that the water contained inside is withdrawn from the planet’s hydrosystem for the next 10 million years.
If present trends continue, it is estimated that within the next 400,000 years, not only will all the planet’s carbon be tied up in the plastic of these discarded water bottles, but also the entirety of the world’s oceans will be locked up inside these bottles.
The result is that humans of that future era will spend their lives swimming through an ocean of plastic water bottles, continually opening bottles to scavenge water, one ounce at a time

While we are talking of beauty, here’s how an ordinary woman is transformed with good cosmetics and even better photoshopping into a billboard beauty
Evolution
I tried to embed the video in here but the page went skewiff, sagged sideways, and lost all shape (a little like myself). You will have to use the link to see the video on youtube and if there’s anyone who can tell me how to embed a video I will be forever grateful
