Canned Fish Patties
A recipe today. Tuna patties or, as I had in my childhood, salmon patties. All from the can of course. We ate ours on Fridays, I preferred them to smoked cod and this is the absolute genuine recipe of my Mum’s from the 1940s almost blow for blow. Almost, but not quite. Mum didn’t have access to instant mashed potato in packets.
Canned salmon was cheap this morning so that’s what I’m making, but tuna patties are excellent too. I’m not going to muck around with getting measurements translated, and I’m going to leave it to your doubtless common sense to figure how much of which ingredients go where. I’m in a hurry.
